The Understudy

You know how Shakespeare wrote that "All the worlds a stage and all the men and women merely players."? Well some times I feel like the understudy of a real player. For instance I am spending my whole life in school but will I really ever be able to actually work and be part of a profession? Or how about every sunday when we learn about how to be a good wife and mother...yeah, thats never going to happen. But yet I still have to memorize the lines of life even if I don't ever get to live it.
Enough of the pity party, I know you don't go on blogs to get depressed, that feeling is saved for the St. Jude's commercials. So here is something to make you smile. (you might have to copy and past if it won't let you just click on it.) Have a good day and be glad that your a player. At least you have the potential to win an Oscar.

  1. Hahaha, that video was so disturbing! I don't understand those families with pet lions or pythons... gross.
Your comment about feeling like an understudy is pretty insightful. It's an interesting way of expressing how you feel. I know a great way for you to get center-stage: Come to Germany and we'll go to Paris. There's nothing to make you feel more alive than Paris. Vive le France!
    Love you darling-

  2. I have no doubt that you could win an Oscar too! Um, live in auntie, I think that is a pretty important roll. I love the way you put it though. And P.S. it is your blog you can say what you want. P.P.S. I think you should come back for a visit, I miss you and I have been itching to go to Panera ;)!!! (Oh and I hope you don't mind that I totally blog stocked you from DeNae's blog!)P.P.P.S. Paris is probably more alluring then WV

  3. Panera is only good if you have pink eye to go with it. As for blog sticking me,uh....I have your "once upon a time" blog in my bookmarks. so I guess that makes us even!

  4. Riann, that video was too funny. Don't forget that the understudy is called upon, when least expected, to perform perfectly...it's a pretty tough calling if you ask me!

  7. I think Rachelle said it perfectly!! You are both so insightful.

Panera and pink eye . . . . Can't say I'm too sad about missing that experience.

As for Paris, I just need DeNae to pick up her running pace, and about 10 miles or so . . . .

And, as for blog stalking, none of you can even hold a candle to me on that one. :)

    Paige, you need a blog!

  8. True, Sheila, you are the ultimate blog-stalker. You blog-stalk people you barely know/ never met. But that's why we like you.
DeNae, get your crap together! You need to start running if you girls are going to make it here by the end of the summer.
Riann, you are not required to run a half-marathon to come visit me. You can make it here on good looks and personality.

I can't do a blog. I don't know how to do any of the setty-uppy stuff. Also, if anyone here should have a blog that doesn't already have one it should be Sheila. All in favor?

  9. AYI!(or is it eye, or just I)?
That stipulation for me getting to Germany SUCKS! you know I can't come up with money for a good plastic surgeon before summer!
All you need for a blog is a g mail account (don't ask me why) and then think to yourself "if DeNae or Riann can create a blog, well gosh darn it, so can I(or aye or eye)!"

  10. LOL! Ri, are you on those PICU drugs again????

Paige, I "know" everyone I stalk, sort of . . . and they "know" me, I think. I "know" people and have people who "know" me strewn about two continents just by virtue of being friends with DeNae. She gets around like that. ;-)

I, also, don't know the blog setty-uppy and picture uppy-loady stuff . . . . way too complicated for me . . . . Besides, if I had my own blog, how in the world would I find the time to keep you guys on your toes with yours??

Speaking of which, let's all blast DeNae's blog with comments to see if we can motivate her update. Aye, yi, yi . . . . .

  11. HA!!! I finally got back into the blog world, and Riann, you're cracking me up! Seriously though, if I can do it anyone can do it, you don't have to have the brains of a patent lawyer to start a blog, you just have to have a cool life, and tons of friends strewn about the country to read it.

  13. Whatever, DeNae. My life is WAY cool and I have all of your friends and sisters strewn about the country. The only thing I'm lacking is a cool singing voice and a nomination for PTA president. Yeah, real cool . . .
