This morning we were eating biscuits and gravy for breakfast when mara looked up at me and said "It was last conference when you died RiRi" during my silence following this statement Joanna reminded us all that because of this Tanya had come down and made pies. She said "RiRi, do you think you could die again, but not really bad this time, just enough to get Tia to come and make pies for conference with us."
So heres to you Tia, the Porters would trade my life for your pies. Thats got to make you feel good.

ReplyDeleteSo THAT's the secret . . . I tried flying alone with two kids to WV on my not-birthday to get pies from Tia, but she sent me to Bob's Big Boy (or some equally distasteful truck stop) to buy one. Sad, right? Had I known better, I would have just asked you to die a little bit.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, Ri, *I* did not get any of Tia's pies that night because I was fasting by your side in the PICU tending to your every need and eye-roll (or, I may have been entering my time). At any rate, just goes to show how much I love you and that I really AM the most awesome person you know. LOL!
I must admit, though, I kind of had a great time when you died . . . once it was clear you were going to live, of course. Maybe for the next reunion you could just send an e-vite . . . it's got to be cheaper, and you might get to join in on the festivities.

ReplyDeleteLadies, Zach came to visit me in Germany for 4 days and it was really fun. We hung out with my friends here, went skiing in Switzerland, and we may or may not have kissed a little :)
I don't have very much else to say about it except that it was great to see him and I'm excited to see him in June (maybe if I can get a cheap ticket).
Sorry for utilizing your blog's comment space, Riann- I just can't justify a blog of my own.

See Paige..monopolizing someone else's blog to blab about your own life is really quite easy! It was soooooo good to talk to you today! And, I'm still so tickled that I got to brush off DeNae to talk to someone more important. I couldn't have planned it better if I tried. LOL!
